SC: Kyunin-Sensei

The Cuckoo tried to put on a brave face as she stood up to speak, but the quaver in her voice gave away her nervousness. “H-hello. I’m Iris. I was brought here as a Tweaker’s lunch, but Ryu saved me.” She eyed her teammates warily, the Lecherpede and Pikorra in particular. “I-I guess I just want to see if I can become strong enough to not be on the menu anymore.” Iris squeaked and sat back down in a flurry of feathers. “I know what you mean about that Tweaker.” A yellow colored Alarmatoad said with a nod. “She brought me to the Daemon once with the intent of making me explode.” 

Kyunin shook his head. “Mirabel is a good troll and cares very much about the wellbeing of the team. Sure she has her flaws and quirks, but she does mean well. I don’t think she will try to eat or explode you two again.” The Cuckoo and Alarmatoad didn’t really look convinced. Kyunin gave them both a reassuring smile. “Go ahead and introduce yourself now Thera.” 

The Alarmatoad nodded. “My name is Thera. I…want to be stronger and evolve… Blowing up is not a fun experience. I wouldn’t recommend it.” 

The Lecherpede rolled his eyes and sneered. “I’m in a team of wussies. This is bullcrap.” Iris and Thera both flinched at the Lecher’s harsh tone and Kyunin frowned. “Hey, be nice!” The Lecherpede rolled his eyes again. “I shouldn’t have to. All of this team stuff is stupid. I mean, common! Why do I have to be trained by a MIP of all trolls?” Kyunin’s fur darkened and he spit out a small fireball that nearly hit one of the Lecherpede’s legs. “Because this Mip is stronger than you, I’ve had training and was asked to teach you.” 

The Lecherpede scuttled a few steps backwards and scoffed. “Fine fine, whatever.” He held his head high and looked down his nose at the flaming Mip and the rest. “I am Bulraug. I’m no doubt going to be the best member on this team, so don’t drag me down.” He looked pointedly at Iris and Thera as he said this. 

“My, my that’s quite an ego you have on you, Bulraug.” The Pikorra purred in a smooth and rich voice. “I would have expected a Lecherpede to have been all over us by now, being the only male in a team of females and all.” Kyunin reverted back to his cuddly form and looked a little hurt. “Hey…I’m a male…”  

The Pikorra ignored him and continued on. “My name is Eerie, a Pikorra of the Caves and destined to be fused into a Hydrake. A sad destiny for one such as I, for fusing means that I would be lost and wouldn’t be able to grace you all with my presence here today. I spat in the face of destiny and left the Caves, traveling far and wide. I should tell you all of my adventures one day. They’re fantastical enough to make a Mirror Beast stare in wonder and awe. So you see, my dear Bulraug? You are not the best member on the team. That role will belong to me and me alone.” 

Bulraug growled and rose himself up further so he towered over the smaller Pikorra. “Sounds like you got quite an ego on you too. But, I'm clearly better than you, I don't have to make up lies and elaborate stories to show that I'm the best one here!” Kyunin groaned and shook his head. “Hey guys…this isn’t a contest…”
