SC: Shika SenseiShika and Clover were in the center of the clearing near the team’s den circling each other. The little Copybara was watching the Trottoga carefully; concentrating fully on mirroring every step he took while also trying her best to mimic the bored expression on her opponent’s face. She figured that she must be failing that part horribly because it was hard to be focused and look bored at the same time. Shika stopped moving and Clover stopped too. Shika took a step towards Clover and the little Copybara followed suit. Shika then took a step backward and Clover once again copied his movement. This continued on for a few more steps before Shika started trotting backwards with the same bored expression as before. Clover mimicked up right up until she trotted butt first into one of the massive roots of the den tree. “Ow.” Clover whined. She thought she saw Shika smile for just a moment. He walked back over to her and sat down. “Lesson One: Always be
SC: RegroupingRyu woke up with a start and was instantly smothered in Evangeline’s soft fur. “Oh Ryu, you’re awake. We were starting to get really worried about you.” The motherly Mip cooed and stroked Ryu’s head soothingly. Ryu attempted to escape, but the Mip held on tight and continued cuddling her. “What happened? How did I get back here?” She did her best to look around. “Is Arch okay?” Evangeline loosened her hold on Ryu so she wasn’t being smothered any more, though she still hugged the Copybara close. “Arch is fine, dear. He’s keeping watch with Shika right now. You and Arch got very lucky, Zarcon lost interest in going after you when you fell into that hole. Arch was able to get you back here with Shika’s help.” “Shika?” Ryu asked. “Yes he’s a Trottoga. Apparently you landed on his head when you fell.” Evangeline laughed. “He’s a nice boy. I think A
SC: The Fiend of the Forest~What do I do?~ The skull and cross-bone shaped pupils of the hybrid bore into Ryu, keeping her rooted to the spot. ~What do I do?~ The monster bird turned in flight and started her descent, talons outstretched to snatch Ryu up. Panic kick-started Ryu into action, the instincts from her new form driving her to copy and execute the same move she'd seen the hybrid use against Arch. How she pulled it off, she couldn't say. Her mind was too panicked to remember those kinds of details. Her copycat tail blade knocked the monster bird off course, her talons grasping at air mere inches from Ryu’s head feathers. The hybrid flapped her wings to angle herself for another strike. Arch had managed to regain his feet during this time and started taunting the hybrid with obscenities to draw her attention away from Ryu and back onto him. The hybrid slashed at him with her sickle claws. Arch was prepared for the attack this time and was able to jump around the blow and regroup w
SC: Dangers of the ForestRyu followed Arch through a path in the woods with the intent on scouting out the area. Arch had told Ryu that he was a treasure hunter of sorts and traveled often in search of relics and forging materials. This was his first time in the forest region however. The two were awkwardly silent as they walked, both uncertain of how to talk to each other after their conversation the night before. Ryu was still reeling from learning the history of the trolls and the story of Caligula as a hero amongst troll-kind. Arch was trying to determine if Ryu was telling the truth of how she got out here and whether or not she was crazy or deluded.Arch looked back at Ryu and let out a sigh. "Look, listen. You don't have to accept what I told you. Just know that carelessly stating such views could get you in trouble.""I understand. I'll be careful.” Ryu responded. "Would you...still help me look for the others?""Would they all tell me the same story?" Arch asked with a raised brow."Probably..."
